Pissed, Chad assumes it's his father and Victor, who has overheard, gets after Sonny for getting involved with the DiMeras. Justin is quick to offer to find a loophole in the contract but Sonny assures his father he knows what he's doing and it's nothing to do with the DiMera family. Victor receives an update from Daniel on Bo. There's no change. Maggie comforts him. Back at the coffee house, Chad and Sonny go off to bring in coffee cups while Gabi notices Melanie leaving a message on Chad's cell. She deletes the message which is an apology from Melanie for missing his grand opening. Marlena arriv! es and tells Justin, Adrienne, Victor and Maggie that she hasn't heard from John or Hope. She learns there's no change with Bo. Suddenly, Ian turns up. Chad returns to his table and is unhappy to see Melanie hasn't called. Gabi reminds him of the old saying, "A watched phone never rings." He decides to go off with Gabi to celebrate. Meanwhile, Ian goes to Victor's table. Ian introduces himself to Marlena and Victor tells Ian she's a psychiatrist who will see right through him.
